We found a killer deal on flights ($79 round trip on American Airlines!) and rooms at the Sheraton Tribeca were only $114/night. So, we had a semi-spontaneous weekend in NYC for my birthday in January. I wanted to badly to check out the rooms, but they were all full. One of the highlights though, was when we took a day to travel out to the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains near San Jose del Cabo and check out a newer place that I scoped out on Giuliana Rancic’s insta stories.Īcre Baja is a restaurant/bar/farm that has recently opened up their Treehouse rooms…yep treehouses. They are part of the Flora Farms team that we love so much, so it’s no surprise everything was fresh and delicious. They also grow all of the herbs, etc that they use in their cocktails on that roof deck. Downstairs is a cool small “loungy” bar with plenty of fire, and upstairs was an open air deck. We may or may not have gone 3 times that week. And holy cow did we find some good ones! Outpost is our new go-to. If you know me, you know I LOVE me some craft cocktails. It’s right next to Mango Deck outside Casa Dorada. Speaking of tacos, if you prefer to eat yours on the beach…you have to stop by Omega Sports Bar and Grill. You can order your tacos tons of different ways, and then add your own toppings and sauces. Again, very much a local hangout that brags “The Best Seafood Tacos in Cabo”…and they aren’t kidding. Rob said it is up there with one of the best margaritas he has ever had! This is a new must-do!Īlcaravea also happens to be across from a killer taco place, Los Claros. It’s small and cozy and the food was tremendous!! Believe it or not, I had some of the BEST Spaghetti Carbonara there, and the hubby had some super delicious shrimp. We couldn’t get a reservation for that night, but we were lucky enough to get a spot at the bar. We heard tons of people at the pool buzzing about this place so we had to swing in. We then walked about a block up from our hotel to have dinner at Roasted. The menu looked great, but a little on the pricier side with tons of surf and turf options. It was challenging to eat, but it was super tasty! We would for sure go back for at least a drink. Our “snack”, which we thought was a small crab bite, came out in all it’s messy glory… We had a drink and a bite in the upstairs bar/lounge area. BEAUTUFUL! It’s a 2 story place with a modern twist on a traditional mexican place. Tres Sirenas is the newest restaurant from the folks that do Edith’s and The Office (2 of our other faves). We have been watching them build “something” right next to our hotel, Casa Dorada, for the past couple years, and so we had to check it out when it was finally done. We went into it this year MUCH less planned out than the past couple years….and it was GREAT! We have our “must-do” places, like Sunset Mona Lisa and Hacienda Cocina y Cantina….but we tried some great new places I want to share with you!įirst up on the “new” list, was Tres Sirenas. Well, we are back from another successful Cabo trip! Man, I love it there.
